Tejay’s 4WD was established in 2015, by myself - owner/operator Tim Jopson.

Unhappy with my work situation, I decided that working for myself was the best way forward. Since then, I have never looked back!

The first step was deciding on a name for the business. It needed to be a unique and distinctive name to encompass the scope of high level services that this business would offer to stand apart from all the rest, but also my obvious passion for 4WDing and the Australian Bush.

In July of 2016 I first registered the Business name of Tejay’s 4WD and an ABN, then went from there. While it was a dream really to start with and being a sideways shift in careers, I was careful until I found my feet .

At the start of 2021 I took a leap of faith to commit full time to my business and passion. After a month I knew I had made the right decision.

My trade is Electronics and Communications Technician, with 20+ years experience in farming, civil, domestic and mining. Through these previous jobs, I am bringing all of that knowledge into what I do now.

Am I a licensed Auto Electrician? Yes, making a sideways shift is always a little difficult when it comes to being licensed but once working in the industry I got to talk to the right people who helped me out.
